HOW TO MEASURE YOURSELF

When you measure yourself, if possible, do so in front of the mirror so you can ensure that the tape measure is horizontally positioned around your body. Hold the tape measure close against your body but don't pull it too tight.

Handy tip: Always wear the underwear you plan to wear with the garment.

BUST

Measure the fullest part of your bust ensuring the tape measure is even and horizontal at the back across your shoulder blades.

WAIST

Your waist is the smallest part of your torso - it is usually a centimetre or so above your belly button. Wrap the tape measure around your waist, ensuring it is comfortable but not loose.

HIP

Measure around the fullest part of your bottom or at the top of your thighs, whichever is widest. Make sure the tape measure is even and horizontal at the back and again keep the measuring tape close to your body but don't pull it too tight.

    I have a special anniversary celebration coming up, I wanted something glamourous for the occasion - a midi rather than a maxi. I am relatively new to Sasha Drake, I made my first purchase a bit over a year ago. This dress sat in my online cart for two weeks before I finally made the decision to take the plunge. My advice, don’t hesitate like I did. The fabric has a beautiful blue/gold shimmer (hard to see in the pictures) much more obvious once you have the dress. The fabric has plenty of stretch and is cut in such a beautiful way to accentuate your curves, and for me without clinging to the bits I’m self-conscious about (mainly my belly). The dress is fully lined, I love a lined dress it sits so much better on the body. The shoulder pads are a nice touch, but if you prefer not to have them, they are removable. I am a pretty reliable size 12 in most brands, this size 12 fits me perfectly, and the midi length is just right for what I wanted. This will be a go-to special occasion dress for me, I can see it being suitable for many events.

    Don’t hesitate girls, this is a beautiful flattering dress, I promise you will not be disappointed.
